Several possibilities exist for guided tours of the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site. Below, you’ll find information for the most appropriate option to serve your needs:
Audio Guides
The Memorial Site’s audio guides are a convenient option for individuals or groups wanting to explore the memorial at their own time and pace.
The audio guide is accompanied by a map of the area, and contains information about the grounds and history of the Dachau concentration camp, as well as accounts of historical witnesses.
The Audio guides are available at the visitor's center located at the entrance of the memorial site. The guides are available in German, English, French, Italian, and Spanish.

A deposit is required for all audio guides and must be left at the desk during the time the audio guide is in use.

topGuides Tours (for Individual Visitors)
These tours are aimed towards individual visitors and consist of a guided tour through the grounds of the former camp, the historical buildings, and parts of the permanent exhibition. The goal is to provide a basic knowledge of the history of Dachau Concentration Camp and the Memorial Site, as well as to examine the question "What does this history have to do with us today?"
Please be aware that groups should book their tour in advance (see below).
Tickets for the guided tour are available at the information desk of the visitor's center. It should be noted that space is limited to 30 people. Please buy your tickets at least 15 minutes in advance. You will be informed of the meeting point for the tour when you purchase you ticket.

Guided Tours (for Groups and School Classes)
The Educational Department of the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site offers guided tours through the Memorial Site for groups and school classes. Tours are available in Czech, German, English, French, Italian, Slovak, and Russian and cost €65,00 per group (maximum 30 people).
Upon registration groups can arrange for additional emphasis to be placed on a specific theme during the tour. The tour guides work on a paid basis, and are trained by the Memorial Site. For booking or further information please contact the Education Department of the Memorial Site:

Tour guides meet their groups in front of the visitor's center at the entrance of the memorial site.
The Josef-Effner-Gymnasium is responsible for all Bavarian school groups. Additional tour provided for schools and groups can be found under Cooperation Partners.
Projects and Seminars
Full-day and half-day seminars or projects for groups and school classes can be booked through the Education Department of the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site. At this time the following topics are offered:
- History of the Dachau Concentration Camp, and the path to the Memorial Site
- Propaganda and Reality
- Slave labor and Survival
- Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site: Place of Learning Human Rights
- Media – Films of Historical Witnesses – The Perspectives of the Survivors
Themes can be geared toward the specific interests of a group (upon agreement). The length of the full day seminars is 8 hours, and costs 80.- Euros; the half day seminar is 4 hours and costs 70.- Euros. Lunch can be arranged upon request.
