Surviving witness conversation on International Holocaust Remembrance Day

On
Friday, January 27, 2012, at the invitation of the “Round Table for
Contemporary History” a conversation with a surviving witness will be held as
every year to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The guest speaker
is yet to be named.

The
“Round Table for Contemporary History” is made up by the Culture and
Contemporary History Dept in the City of Dachau authority, the Förderverein für
Internationale Jugendbegegnung und Gedenstättenarbeit e.V., the Max Mannheimer
Studienzentrum, the Dachauer Forum, the association Zum Beispiel Dachau, the
Protestant Church of Reconciliation, the Catholic pastoral office on the Dachau
Memorial Site, the Lagergemeinschaft Dachau, and the Dachau Concentration Camp
Memorial Site.

At
present it is expected that the evening will be held in the Ludwig-Thoma-Haus
in Dachau, Augsburger Straße 23, beginning at 7 p.m. Details will be confirmed
in the daily press closer to the event. Entry is free of charge.
