On Tuesday, November 8, 2011, a reading from the book by Henny Seidemann
\nBerlin \u2013 Barcelona \u2013 M\u00fcnchen. Eine M\u00fcnchner
\nJ\u00fcdin erz\u00e4hlt<\/em> took place in the foyer of Dachau\u2019s City Hall to commemorate
\nPogrom Night. Henny Seidemann, a contemporary witness, was born in Berlin in
\n1922, she fled to Barcelona with her family in 1935. But already in 1936,
\nduring the Spanish Civil War, she was sent back to Germany and taken to a
\nJewish children\u2019s home in Munich. In 1938 she fled for a second time to Spain
\nand first returned to Munich in 1957. The event was staged by the \u201cRound Table
\nfor Contemporary History\u201d, made up by the Culture and Contemporary History Dept
\nin the City of Dachau authority, the F\u00f6rderverein f\u00fcr Internationale
\nJugendbegegnung und Gedenst\u00e4ttenarbeit e.V., the Max Mannheimer Studienzentrum,
\nthe Dachauer Forum, the association Zum Beispiel Dachau, the Protestant Church
\nof Reconciliation, the Catholic pastoral office on the Dachau Memorial Site,
