New staff at Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site<\/h1>\n

\"Maximilian<\/strong>Maximilian L\u00fctgens<\/strong> has been standing in for Rebecca Ribarek as educational assistant in
\nthe Education Department of Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site since March
\n1, 2017. Before this, he majored in History and Gender Studies at the
\nUniversity of Konstanz and worked at the Discovery Channel TV station in
\nMunich. In the Education Department, he will primarily be working on the new
\nbooking database and the educational program for 2018.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"Jascha<\/p>\n

<\/strong>Jascha M\u00e4rz<\/strong> majored in ancient, medieval, and modern history and classical
\narchaeology at the University of Bonn. From 2009 to 2016 he was employed on a
\nfee basis at the NS-Documentation Center of the City of Cologne, starting work
\non his doctorate while there in 2013. He successfully defended his doctoral
\nthesis on associations of victims who suffered under Nazi political
\npersecution. Since December 2016 he has been a volunteer trainee at Dachau
\nConcentration Camp Memorial Site, doing research on the subcamps and external
\nwork details of the former Dachau concentration camp.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"Franziska<\/strong>Franziska M\u00fcller<\/strong> is nineteen years old and has been doing a voluntary year of social
\nservice at the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site since September 2016.
\nApart from generally assisting on projects and other work at the Memorial Site,
\nshe organized an Guide excursion to M\u00fchldorf. For her social service project,
\nshe designed her own tour on the topic of \u201cChildren and Young People at Dachau
\nConcentration Camp\u201d, which was held as part of the educational program on July
\n8, 2017. She tells more about this project and her work at Dachau Concentration

\"Michael<\/p>\n

Michael St\u00f6rk<\/strong> studied political science and history, as well as Eastern European
\nstudies with a focus on history and Jewish culture and history in Freiburg,
\nCracow, and Munich. He gained his first experience doing educational and
\nmemorial work during a voluntary year of social service at the International
\nYouth Meeting Center in Auschwitz and an internship at the Jewish Galicia
\nMuseum in Cracow. He has been working as a volunteer trainee in the Education
\nDepartment since December 2016, concerned primarily with implementing the topic
\nof \u201cperpetration\u201d in the pedagogical work of the Dachau Concentration Camp
\nMemorial Site.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tim Todorenczuk<\/strong> decided
\nto do his voluntary year of social service at Dachau Concentration Camp
\nMemorial Site because he wanted to learn about the many and varied aspects of
\nmemorial work. He regularly accompanies Dachau survivor Abba Naor to contemporary
\nwitness talks at various schools, but is also gaining experience in different
\ndepartments of the Memorial Site. Something he finds particularly interesting
\nis the contact with international visitors when he is helping with visitor
\ninformation duties. <\/p>\n
