{"id":4611,"date":"2018-07-11T15:27:02","date_gmt":"2018-07-11T13:27:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kzgd-dev.dev2.de\/?p=4611"},"modified":"2019-11-20T16:06:54","modified_gmt":"2019-11-20T15:06:54","slug":"munich-and-the-dachau-concentration-camp-topografie-der-erinnerung","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kz-gedenkstaette-dachau.de\/en\/news\/munich-and-the-dachau-concentration-camp-topografie-der-erinnerung\/","title":{"rendered":"Munich and the Dachau concentration camp \u2013 \u201cTopografie der Erinnerung\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"inside\">\n<div class=\"mod_article block\" id=\"news-topografie-der-erinnerung\">\n<div class=\"ce_text block\">\n<h1>Munich and the Dachau concentration camp \u2013 \u201cTopografie der Erinnerung\u201d<\/h1>\n<p>Developed by the education<br \/>\ndepartment of the Dachau Memorial Site and the Munich Documentation Centre for<br \/>\nthe History of National Socialism, the educational module \u201cMunich and the<br \/>\nDachau concentration camp \u2013 \u2018Topographie der Erinnerung\u2019\u201d comprises concepts<br \/>\nfor two-day seminars, for single or two-day excursions as well as a variety of<br \/>\neducational material.<\/p>\n<p>Drawing on biographies of<br \/>\nMunich citizens, for example Hans Beimler and Fritz Dressel, both of whom were<br \/>\nsent to the newly setup Dachau concentration camp between 1933 and 1938 for<br \/>\npolitical and\/or racist reasons, this module seeks to illustrate the links<br \/>\nbetween the history of Munich as the \u201ccapital of the Nazi movement\u201d and the<br \/>\nDachau camp. The module follows their movements through different locations in<br \/>\nMunich as well as their presence at the Dachau Memorial Site.
